Procedure: How To Make "Getuk Lindri"


Piped Cassava cakes with Grated Fresh Cassava
“GETUK LINDRI”
*Serves 20 pieces

Ingredients:

250 g sugar

150 ml water

1 tsp vanilla

1 tbs cocoa powder

1 kg cassava, peeled and steamed

½ coconut, grated

Salt

Directions:
  • Boil the sugar with water until it forms syrup. Add vanilla and the cocoa powder.
  • Mash the cassava, while it is still warm, together with half of the grated coconut.
  • Add the sugar syrup little by little and continue mashing until everything has been well blended.
  • Put the dough trough a grinder with big round boles and cut into 5 cm lengths.
  • Serve the food named Getuk Lindri with the remaining grated coconut seasoned with salt to taste.
